Unlike most other riders, I have not been riding since I was a kid. I started taking lessons in my 30s, gave it up for a while, then bought my first horse, Nugget, when I was 54. My second horse, Talus, came 3 years later. I mostly ride the trails near my home, but occasionally do a 25 mile Limited Distance endurance ride. I also attend clinics and work daily on my horsemanship. What a journey!
