    • NATRC Top Trail Challenge
To be added to this awesome affiliate group you must be a member of NATRC (in good standing) for the current competition year. The NATRC member rider with the most miles posted to their Top Trail account in 2020 (training, competition, and pleasure) will be recognized as the winner of this challenge. The North American Trail Ride Conference (NATRC) is the premier competitive trail riding (CTR) organization in six regions across North America. Since 1961, we’ve helped riders of all ages learn the sport of competitive trail riding. Alongside other equine enthusiasts, you can deepen the relationship with your horse while learning new skills and setting your own competitive goals. There’s no place better to do this than on the open trail.

    • Taking Care of Your Equine Partner
Top Trail's official position on the use of equines for Top Trail is that they only be ridden according to their level of fitness. In other words, don't over-ride your or put health & soundness of your equine partner in jeopardy under any circumstances to win a challenge or meet a riding goal. Always put your equine first! That's what it's all about when you get down to the nitty gritty: having a great relationship with your equine and both increasing in skill level! Now, let's respectfully discuss how we take care of our equines. What are your tips for conditioning? Tell us about an issue you experienced with a particular equine and how did you overcome?
