I am in my mid 60s. Have been riding horses 50+ years and training about 45.

Had a small breeding farm & raised quality Appaloosas in central FL from about 1974 to 1982.

Was “horseless” too many years. About 2005 a geriatric AQHA mare came into my life.  She and I logged a lot of hours for the AQHA, all after she was 25.

In Oct 2010 we brought home a 2 1/2 year old Appaloosa gelding, green as grass.  Have worked with him almost 5,000 hours in the past 12 1/2 years and he has become quite an accomplished Obstacle Challenge horse as well as  Cowboy Dressage.

Ace and I also ride trails in the Ocala National Forest as often as we can.  In 2020, however, we logged over 300 miles just on the 5+ acres where we live.

I love riding because it gives me great joy.  God gave us these magnificent animals that agree to be our partners.  What a gift that is!
